EFE CE ELE // CAZZIDA DOT
Cazzida Dot and EFE CE ELE are the two musical projects of the Colombian artist, based in Barcelona, Feli Cabrera López. She works at the intersections of the sounds traditionally (mis)named of dance and listening, within the spectrum of electronic music. Passionate about the construction of complex textures, she generates audible spaces that traverse spectrums and rhythms commonly perceived as “cinematic”.
EFE CE ELE is currently her most experimental project, in which she moves through various genres and styles: from ambient to techno, through electroacoustic music and the generation of sounds with unconventional instruments, such as the use of bacteria to synthesize sounds with organic and unpredictable characteristics. This is also the project that connects most directly with her work as a visual artist, with her performances always accompanied by visuals and devices programmed and built by her own.
On the other hand, Cazzida Dot is a project that is much more oriented towards “hard” music, in which she explores experimental forms of composition and production in the genres of Rave/Club, Nu Metal, Hard Techno and Breakcore. Her music is influenced by her knowledge and training in sound synthesis, with which she explores the possibility of generating unconventional rhythmic textures, which in turn are mixed with forms of composition that are very present in the traditional music of the Pacific and Andean regions of Colombia.
Even though she released her music in various labels from Latinamerica and Europe, she currently release principally with Fragment A, the label that she founded and currently co-direct with Nico Lettieri (aka P^KNT€).
